When I look to buy sports clothes, I unknowingly look to be inspired on my fitness journey. I subconsciously seek for a form of the ideal I aspire to and want to shoot for.

While the image of that ideal I work to reach is more or less, loosely branded in my mind, these occasional, rarer instances from the outside world also serve as a reminder of that goal.

These moments work as an opportunity to echo my aspirations, and what’s more, confirm them, by displaying people who have achieved these ideals, thereby proving to me that it’s possible. If it’s generally possible for others, then it’s possible for me as well.

That image is usually that of fit, muscular, or generally physically accomplished athletes or workouts enthusiasts.
