Well here is the irony of me not clapping on your post after I've published it.
It is not that publishers/editors didn't enjoy your piece, it's just that just like any other reader, publishers will leave feedback if they feel like it. An editor can review a minimum of 20 pieces a day, and some publications some will review hundreds a day. A lot of us skim the piece for anything that is wrong or weird, but again just like any reader, unless something catches your attention or your interest (like right now), then it is unlikely someone will interact with the piece unless they feel prompted to by something.
It isn't a sign of something wrong, or that you need to take personally, and it's also never particularly been part of Medium etiquette to do this either. Publishers may choose to interact, again, if they feel like it.
