I mean, we absolutely shouldn't forget that families and parents can be seriously abusive in ways that are not always obvious to the undiscerning, and this is strongly leaning into erasing abuse territory, here.

Parents are not some nice innocent creatures, and providing for one's child is completely normal and to be expected, it's a basic prerequisite of parenthood, a basic necessity, and not something the child should be grateful for, because then it means it's abnormal for them to have received something that is normal. That is absolutely wrong. It's the norm that parents should provide for their kids, and kids don't owe parents anything for this.
