Oh whoa that has turned into quite the long conversation!
To be honest I am only aware of the commercial history of Linux and Microsoft, because Linux soared when I was a teenager so it was more or less easy to witness (and Microsoft had already always been around before that). But I've never known a time when the Adobe suite didn't work on Microsoft, I got into it with Photoshop at least 10 years ago back in the days when it was still CS5, and yeah, never experienced it not working too well.

To be honest, I think there is a huge barrier between Apple and everything else, and most normal people aren't advertised apple products in the same as the states or northern EU or some other Asian countries. It's seen as the needlessly rich people thing that is extra expensive for no reasons, because good hardware isn't that hard to come by and Apple ships with their own hardware so it's restrictive to have certain innovations like Nvidia graphics cards that are basically top of the market.

I don't see a good reason to get Apple products, to be frank, though I definitely dabbled lately by testing the iPhone, simply because I could finally afford to... As you see, in my mind it does remain a thing that's "for the rich." So as soon as it was a question of financial means, I gave it a go. But beyond this, I am struggling to find something, I assume marketing is responsible for this, that isn't covered by Microsoft already. Of course, feel free to tell me what other perks there are, I've genuinely never tested a Mac so far.
