It's impossible to separate the artist from the art because the art reflects the artist. The art IS the artist. Does that mean we can't enjoy how great it is at times? Yes we can, because people are capable of both good things and negatives, and it's possible to condemn the negatives while enjoying the positives. It's also why, however, I don't particularly listen to Rammstein, as some of the aspects of their music disgusts me, personally. I do love a few of their songs quite a bit, however, and it's fine by me to flock to what I like, and ignore what I don't like. I'll quickly compare this with Eminem, who, while he never faced any accusations and I cant imagine him do anything genuinely illegal or harmful, he did have some pretty nasty snd graphic lyrics, that I've always successfully avoided because I didn't do to be exposed to it. I enjoyed what I liked and filtered out the rest. But one cannot ignore that just like with Rammstein, what he produced reflected what was inside him.

Finally, I'm surprised to hear about this flock of loyal fans being unsurprised at these accusations? I'd love a link to the Reddit thread if you don't mind, because while I'm not the biggest Rammstein fan, the band members always struck me as being too rational and well rounded to do something that wrong.
