I know a little bit more of how Japan functions, and only have a very cursory knowledge of the other regions you mentioned. I can see that your own exposure to these things has really soured you, and I get that you think it's best to leave and escape than it is to put up with something as overwhelming and destructive as bad intentions from governments.

In all cases, structural change is possible. Of course, I invite people on an individual to escape as much as possible, because nothing is worth human suffering, nothing, especially when people are too young and unwilling.

But it is possible, because it means changing the intentions and actions of the people at the top. Someone like Putin is enigmatic because we don't know what he wants. But when we dig a little, we understand that he dislikes how America acts like it is the king of the sandbox. We understand a little bit more that what provoked the war in Ukraine is a little bit more twined with how Putin feels about the US. For instance, when we watch interviews, it becomes clear Putin genuinely feels that NATO is America's private army. It's not something a European citizen could conceive of, because as a European citizen myself, I guarantee most of us, if not none of us, sees NATO as an extension of America's military. But he does, and that annoys him. Then if I remember well, it turns out Putin also wanted for Russia to join NATO at some point?

When we understand what is going on inside those people's minds, we understand how it can be changed or stopped. Because people want something and are trying to do something, but at the expense of others. And when we can change someone's mind, we can change what they're doing that's hurting others. And thus change absolutely is possible.
